Through June 9, 2025, the Tamarac Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to a number of events. The occurrences and arrests that local law enforcement dealt with during this time are described in detail below.
Incidents of Crime
A woman who thought she was getting a call from her nephew was defrauded of $6,480. The incident was reported on June 3 and took place between February 27 and 28.
On June 3, a person reported falling victim to a scheme that scammed them of $800. After mailing a gift card to a Facebook acquaintance for a dog that never arrived, another Tamarac resident was defrauded of $50.
On June 3, there was a reported car burglary in which a $777 wallet was taken. On June 4, there was another car break-in in which property was taken and a passenger-side window was broken.
A nursing assistant is accused of stealing a $1,800 gold necklace on May 24 and 25.
On June 6, a car struck two women in a suspected case of aggravated violence.
On June 7 and 8, there were reports of auto thefts, including a 2024 Italica Spektra scooter and a stolen rental automobile.
A resident stated that their information was used in a false loan application, resulting in a $25,000 identity theft event.
On June 8, a rental community claimed that its median had been damaged to the tune of about $300.
On two separate days, a guy claimed that a male had tried to steal mangoes from his yard.
Throughout the week, there were numerous reports of domestic conflicts involving family members or former partners that did not lead to arrests. There were also several Baker Acts and calls pertaining to mental health.
Regarding threatening messages from known individuals, two different reports were submitted.
Arrests
On June 4, 32-year-old Breann Elizabeth Piscopo was taken into custody for tampering with an electronic monitoring device.
On June 5, 19-year-old Shaniah P. Parker was taken into custody for robbery by abrupt snatching without a gun.
On June 5, 37-year-old Rowlneyc Geffrard was taken into custody on a warrant for grand theft over $20,000.
After a physical fight with her husband, 37-year-old Brittany Megan Hancotte was taken into custody on June 6 for domestic violence.
On June 6, 27-year-old Jacques Edmond was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On June 6, 51-year-old Yvarie Deaon Cole-Palmer was taken into custody for domestic abuse of her brother.
On June 7, 18-year-old Timothy Hezekiah Fain was taken into custody for domestic abuse.
On June 8, 45-year-old Kraska Benoma Bootle was taken into custody for peacefully opposing a cop.
