BRUSSELSRihanna and other celebrities who attended the international premiere of the new Smurf movie on Saturday were treated to a blue carpet in Belgium.

The live-action animated reboot of Smurfs, which takes the little animals on a rescue expedition led by Smurfette to save Papa Smurf, was produced by Rihanna, who also provides the voice of Smurfette.

The pregnant Grammy winner interacted with kids during her performance in Brussels on Saturday, entered the crowd arm in arm with A$AP Rocky, and linked arms with a person costumed as her cartoon persona.

James Corden and Dan Levy were among the cast members at the premiere, and director Chris Miller held Smurf toys. A lot of the attendees were dressed in Smurf-like blue.

On July 18, the film will have its U.S. premiere.

The Smurfs, known here as Schtroumpfs, were developed by Belgian comics artist Peyo, and the Belgian capital celebrated their debut with a full weekend of activities.

It happened close to a Smurf museum in the heart of Brussels. The renowned Mannekin Pis statue in the city was decked out as No Name Smurf for the event. Train carriages and tourist buses were decked out in blue, while the city’s Grand Place hosted Smurf-themed events throughout the weekend.
