Chantal Becomes Post-Tropical

The core of Post-Tropical Cyclone Chantal was situated close to latitude 37.5 North, longitude 76.3 West around 1100 AM EDT (1500 UTC). It is predicted that the post-tropical cyclone will continue to move toward the northeast at a speed of about 17 mph (28 km/h).

With greater gusts, the maximum sustained winds are close to 30 mph (45 km/h). Over the next 48 hours, there should be little change in strength.

A minimum central pressure of 1009 mb (29.80 inches) is estimated.

In the State of Delaware, portions of Southern New Jersey, portions of Southeastern Pennsylvania, portions of Eastern Virginia, and portions of Southern and Eastern Maryland are all under a flood watch.
