WESTON, FL.Authorities reported that Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel swiftly put out a brush fire that started early Saturday morning in a secluded part of Weston.
Around 4:30 a.m., according to Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue authorities, firefighters fought smoke and flames close to U.S. 27 and Manatee Isles Drive.
Authorities stated that no neighboring structures were in danger and that the fire was restricted to brush and garbage on private property.
According to them, some 35 firefighters arrived on the site and used a specialist water tender along with multiple fire engine companies to help put out the fire.
Although firemen stayed on the scene for many hours to douse hot areas, investigators reported that workers managed to contain the fire in less than an hour.
Authorities claimed that portions of U.S. 27 were temporarily closed during the reaction as a precaution. After some time, the road was reopened, and traffic is now moving normally.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, and there were no reported injuries.
