MIAMIDSince being traded to the Miami Heat in February, Avion Mitchell has blended in perfectly.
On Monday, the guard agreed to a two-year contract deal with Miami.
Mitchell was already serving as the team’s ambassador on Tuesday.
The guard traveled to Cooper City and Miami to visit Jr. Heat Camp.
He took pictures, signed autographs, demonstrated drills, and answered questions from campers.
Mitchell discussed his choice to remain with the Heat with media as well.
“It’s possible,” Mitchell remarked. This group of guys, the coaching staff, and the organization are all quite different from any other place I’ve been, so I’m just thrilled to be back here. I appreciate that they take winning seriously, which is why I’m thrilled to be here.
