EEUU retira encargado de negocios en Colombia en protesta por declaraciones; Petro llama a embajador

BOGOTEIn response to statements made by the government of Izquierdista Gustavo Petro, the United States government ordered the judiciary to resign the judge in charge of embajada negotiations in Bogot. This came amid recent criticism of the northern country by the government, which prompted an unexpected plan to pressure its fall from power.

In response, Petro summoned Colombia’s ambassador to the United States, Daniel Garc a-Pe a Jaramillo, to consult with him and update him on the progress of the bilateral agenda.

As reported by Tammy Bruce, the head of the Department of State, Marco Rubio, has resigned from his position as secretary to John T. MacNamara, who has been in charge of negotiations since February and is available for urgent consultations following statements that are unfounded and repugnant from the highest levels of the Colombian government.

Although the portavoz does not specify which specific statements are being discussed, the decision is consistent with public claims made by Petro to the US government as part of a purported scheme to pressure his decline in power, which had prompted his excanciller Leyva.

“There is a golpe in fragrancia (flagrancia), and it is necessary to look into it and ask the EEUU’s investigating justice to guarantee Petro the v spera in his account of X, prior to Twitter.”

Without receiving a prompt response, the Associated Press contacted the US Embassy to obtain the comments that the government deemed unacceptable.

According to recordings made public by the newspaper El Paño, Leyva had tried to persuade American congressmen Mario D. Az-Balart and Carlos Gim-nez to exert international pressure that would result in Petro’s removal from power. Leyva had attempted to confront the state secretary in his alleged plan.

Both congressmen have rejected any disagreement with the excanciller’s alleged golpist agenda.

Petro cannot continue to be amenable to the United States and then think that he can leave with his own, said Gim nez in X under the alias “consultas del diplom tico.”

In a statement, the Colombian mandate said that it does not believe Rubio is scheming against the state because the “se ores of the extrema derecha que estaban en eso, no llegaron à la oficina de Marco Rubio.”

Petro has reported several threats against him, some of which come from illegal armed groups and a golpe blando in which his opponents attempt to deprive him of power by using the judicial system. Assure that the US Embassy was notified in one of the episodes to prevent it from being concretized.

“The times I’ve wanted to die have helped the previous EEUU government,” Petro said. From here forth, we can see Bol’s espada, his free path, the light’s energy, the dynamic community, and the EU government.

Despite being retired from business, the portavoz continues to view Colombia as a socially significant country in the hemisphere.

The tensions

With a bilateral relationship of $200 million, the United States and Colombia’s ties have been put to the test with the arrival of Petro al-Poder, the first Izquierdista to lead the South American nation.

In addition to the diplomatic retraction, the United States stated that it is taking additional steps to make clear its deep concern about the current bilateral relationship situation.

Petro stated that he hopes President Donald Trump can establish diplomatic relations to combat international crime and not hire illegal immigrants. Verify that the extreme right wants to damage bilateral relations in order to influence the fight against crime.

Petro changed anti-narcotics policies, which by all accounts have supported and funded the United States, ensuring that it has failed. Their methodology calls for lowering the goal of eradicating coca plants, increasing prohibitions, and persecuting the major drugs.

When Colombia reaches the point of deciding whether or not to comply with its goals in the fight against drugs, the United States takes action to eradicate and reduce the 253,000 hectares of sembradas of cocaine that were discovered in 2023.

This week, Petro put a stop to the extradition to the United States of a member of an armed group that had already been approved by the country’s Supreme Court to answer for felonies of narcotr fico, claiming that it was in the interest of peace.

This relationship also began in January when Colombia’s lanegativa refused to accept two deported military aircraft from that country, escalating into mutual threats of apprehensions that never materialized after Colombia finally agreed to accept deported aircraft and sent its own aircraft to retrieve them.

Petro emphasized that one of the top priorities on the US agenda is a treaty on immigration and the US’s right to accept or reject visitors based on human dignity.
