Regarding the Bread:

-baguette, divided into 6-inch segments, and then sliced open

Regarding the Panini:

Spread made with Calabrian chili

-Genoa salami, cut thinly

-Soppressata, cut thinly

-mortadella, cut thinly

Slice the pepper jack cheese thinly.

The provolone cheese, sliced thinly

-thinly sliced pepperoncini

The thinly cut romaine lettuce

Vinaigrette with red wine (recipe below)

Get your panini press ready.

Spread some of the Calabrian chili on one or both sides of the bread after opening it. On the bread, arrange a few slices of provolone, pepper jack, mortadella, soppressata, and salami. Place the sandwich in the panini press after closing it. Press until the color turns golden.

Toss the romaine lettuce with a little red wine vinaigrette while the panini is being pressed. Place the dressed romaine on top of the sandwich after opening it. Keep warm and serve.

Regarding the Vinaigrette with Red Wine:

One tablespoon of red wine vinegar

Three teaspoons of olive oil

-Dried oregano, pinch

-freshly ground black pepper and kosher salt, to taste

Mix all the ingredients together with a whisk.
