Los AngelesMichael Madsen, who stood out in Quentin Tarantino’s flicks with his ominous roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, has away. He was sixty-seven.
Christopher Jauregui, the watch commander for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, reported that Madsen was discovered unconscious in his Malibu, California, residence on Thursday morning and was declared dead. Authorities do not suspect foul play in his death, which is thought to have occurred naturally. According to Madsen’s manager Ron Smith, the apparent cause was heart arrest.
Madsen’s career began in the early 1980s and included over 300 credits, many of which were in low-budget movies. However, his vicious torturing of a detained police officer while dancing to Stealers Wheel’s “Stuck in the Middle with You” as Mr. Blonde in 1992’s Reservoir Dogs could have been his most remembered on-screen moment.
He would go on to become a Tarantino mainstay, making appearances in The Hateful Eight and the Kill Bill movies.
According to a statement from his managers Smith and Susan Ferris and publicist Liz Rodriguez, Michael Madsen has been doing some amazing work with independent film over the past two years, including the upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives. He was eagerly awaiting this next phase of his life. He “was one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors, who will be missed by many,” they continued.
At the TCL Chinese Theatre in November 2020, Madsen recalled his first trip to Hollywood in the early 1980s during a handprint ceremony.
After getting out, I looked around and pondered whether there was any chance that it would become a part of me in the future. He added, “And I didn’t know because I didn’t know what I was going to do with myself at that point.” “I had the option of becoming a bricklayer. I might have been a building designer. I might have worked as a garbage man. I might not have existed. However, I was fortunate. As an actress, I was fortunate.
