It took place in the vicinity of the 800 block of Northwest 22nd Road in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday at around 6:40 p.m.
Police said they discovered a shooting victim after responding to a ShotSpotter alarm.
According to authorities, the subject was taken to Broward Health Medical Center by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, but they did not provide an update on their status.
Investigations into the shooting’s circumstances are still ongoing.
