NEW YORK — Several media outlets claimed Thursday that pop sensation Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom had broken up.
According to a statement quoted by People and USA Today, the couple has been focusing on co-parenting over the past several months and will still be spotted together with their kid. According to a statement credited to both celebrities’ reps, raising their daughter with love, stability, and respect for one another will be their first priority.
A week prior to the wedding of millionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos, which Bloom attended by herself, there were rumors that the couple had broken up. Perry has been touring the world.
The Associated Press’s request for comment was not immediately answered by representatives for Perry and Bloom.
Since 2016, Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, have been romantically together. In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Perry disclosed that the couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 after splitting up in 2017 but quickly rekindling their romance.
Daisy Dove Bloom, the couple’s daughter, was born in 2020.UNICEF shared the news on its Instagram account after Perry and Bloom persuaded them to do so. Both serve as goodwill representatives for the UN organization that aids children.
Flynn was born in 2011 to Bloom and his ex-wife, Australian beauty Miranda Kerr. Perry has only one child, Daisy.
Russell Brand, a comedian, was Perry’s previous spouse. Perry was born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.
